Lots of medals at recent galas for TeamTurbos

October has seen swimmers take part in a few galas, and achieving many PBs and medals.

On the first weekend of October 2022, 16 Turbos swimmers took part in races during all four sessions. They achieved an incredible haul of 28 medals between them – 8 Gold, 12 Silver and 8 Bronze – and a total of 50 PBs were recorded, Excellent work all round, and Head Coach Rich was especially proud of the team camaraderie.

As a team we did really well at Bridport in the Challenge Cup Gala on 15th October against clubs from Devon, Somerset and Dorset, coming a close second which is excellent for our small club. Many of our swimmers were competing for the first time, so a special congratulations to them.

Ten of our swimmers also took part in 43 races at Dorchester over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd October. 24 of these resulted in PBs and they achieved 18 medals – 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze.
